Doris Ann MacDougall (Hough) - Class Of 1935

Doris Ann MacDougall (Hough)

Doris MacDougall Hough, born May 2, 1918 in Los Angeles, California to Stuart Lachland and Elsie Lowry MacDougall.  Passed away May 17, 2012 in Rancho Mirage, California.  Doris grew up in South Pasadena and attended UCLA where she majored in history and was President of Chi Omega.

Doris married Gordon, the love of her life, in 1942.  Together they shared a wonderful life filled with love, family, travel, and golf.  They lived in several communities throughout California as a result of Gordon's career with Pacific Telephone.  Along the way they gained many lifelong friends.  They especially enjoyed their time in San Marino, New York City, Hillsborough, California, and Eldorado C.C. in Indian Wells, California.

Our beloved Mimi was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was our "rock star," active and living independently.  She was an avid reader, bridge player, and always thinking of others.  Doris was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 2004 and is survived by her son Lachlan (Victoria), daughter Lowry Ewig (Randall) and seven grandchildren.
