Mary Mace Stuart was a gracious lady, a frugal child of the Great Depression, and a giver. She combined the lessons of her mother and father with her nursing training, to become a comforter of Marines and sailors, her family and all those whom she contacted. She died peacefully in her home surround by her family on June 19, 2013. She was 93.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Charles Boring Stuart, in January 2013. She is survived by her sister, Roberta Mace Bennett; children, Charles, Roberta, Mark, and William; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer, Gordon, Caitlyn, and E.Ma; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Lauren.
