Martha "Marty" Lee Ruddell Ulmschneider 

         March 16, 1933-April 23, 2009

Martha was born in Los Angeles, California and was raised in South Pasadena, California by her parents Connie and "Mac" Ruddell.  She graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1951.  Martha attended UCLA and UC Berkeley and pledged Kappa Delta sorority.  She married James Robert McPherson and moved to Tustin, CA where their two daughters, Laurie Anne and Virginia Lee, were born.  Later the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and then to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.  Years later Marty and Bob divorced and she married John Ulmschneider and resided in Lake Havasu City until his death.  Marty then returned to California to live with her daughter Virginia in Newport Beach where she was reunited with many of her sorority sisters.

Marty had a sweet temperament and was always in good spirits.  She expressed a genuine interest in everyone she knew and was very devoted to her family.  She had three grandsons in Newport Beach and enjoyed spending time with her daughter Laurie in Lake Havasu City, AZ.  She was a dedicated chocoholic and a crossword puzzle fanatic.  We all miss her calm cheerfulness and loving nature.
