Alice Roberta Schureman (Pritchard) - Class Of 1932

Alice Schureman Pritchard, widow of George Barnard Pritchard III, passed away March 10, 2014 at the age of 99. A native of southern California, she was a resident of Arcadia since 1948. She was educated in the South Pasadena school system, Pasadena City College and Occidental College.

Alice was a 60-year-member of DAR and past-recipient of its Las Flores Chapter, a 50-year-member and past president of PEO, KQ Chapter, and a 1000 hour volunteer and past president of the San Marino Auxiliary of the Arcadia Methodist Hospital.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Oliver Schureman '27 and Robert Schureman '38. She leaves her daughter, Sallie Louise, and generations of nieces and nephews. She was a beloved and trusted wife, daughter, mother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She once said, "I had a lucky life, not because of longevity, which is irrelevant, but because it was a life in which everything was allowed to be expressed and none of us can ask for more!"
