Estelle Wempen Ramthun

August 21, 1932 - June 1, 2024

Of Brookfield, Wisconsin, age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward F. Dear mother of Elaine (Larry) Henckel Waldhart, Edward J (Cathy) Ramthun, Ellen (Shawn) Faessler, Edwin Ramthun and Erwin Ramthun. Grandmother of nine, great-grandmother of three; sister of Ronald Wempen.

Estelle was born in Los Angeles, growing up in the vicinity with her parents and brother. Athletic through much of her life she loved exercise, the outdoors, and travel. After graduating from UCLA she took a solo trip to Europe in 1958 before beginning her career. She met Ed in Milwaukee and they married in 1960. They took their honeymoon in Hawaii followed by 57 years of marriage filled with countless trips and five children. With her help Ed found steady employment in accounting and they eventually ran their own real estate business together. Once the grandchildren arrived, she enjoyed spending time with them as they grew into adults.
