Elizabeth Wilcock (Weigle) - Class Of 1935

Elizabeth Wilcock (Weigle)

Betty Wilcock Weigle, loving wife of August Weigle, caring mother of Richard Ashworth (Connie) and Sue Loar (Stanley), devoted grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of nine, passed away on June 26, 2007. Betty was born in Winnipeg, Canada on September 17, 1916 and moved to California when she was six years old. She graduated from South Pasadena High School and attended UCLA, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Betty was predeceased by her first beloved husband, Albert Ashworth. The had 55 wonderful years together and lived in Arcadia most of those years, where they raised their family. Betty worked at the Bank of America as a teller for 20 years but the most important things in her life were family and friends. Another love of Betty's was camping and traveling with Al in their motor home or in earlier days taking their boat out to the Colorado River and camping on the shore with family and friends.

In 1996 Betty moved to Mount San Antonio Gardens in Claremont where she met and married Auggie; and together they had a full and wonderful life. She will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones.
