Gregory Dale Howard was a jewel of a person.  He brought to the halls of South Pasadena High School an unusual optimism and joy for living.  His personality was fun-loving and admittedly, sometimes a bit controversial but always with kind intentions.  Greg ran track, played football and was active in the local Key Club and graduated from SPHS in 1971.  He attended CSU Long Beach State where he graduated with a B.A. in History.  Never venturing too far from home, Greg resided in Downey and then Los Angeles.  For the majority of his adult life he worked for Delta Airlines.  He is tremendously missed.

Greg was born March 31, 1954 and died of cancer at age 37 on October 16, 1991.  He is survived by his father, Ernest P. Howard; brother Dana Howard (SPHS '75); niece Sharifa Howard; and nephew Chancellor Howard.
