Hal Garb

May 23, 1935 - April 12, 2025

Harold Irwin Garb passed away just shy of his 90th birthday. A native Angelino, Hal began his photography career as a copyboy for the Herald Examiner before becoming an influential television executive. Eventually he returned to photography, and as a long-time member of PPAGLA, freelanced once again for both UPI and AFP. A world traveler, runner, mountain climber, and champion skeet shooter, Hal is predeceased by his great love, Margaret, and survived by his family:  Lawrence (Ellen), Michelle (Kevin), and  grandchildren Andrew (Shan) and Jake (Savannah).
