Gerald (Jerry) F. Eckels November 14, 1935 - November 15, 2009

Son of Charles and Ethel Koontz Eckels, recently of Lake Forest, California.  Jerry attended San Marino schools, San Marino-South Pasadena High School ('53) and graduated from Whittier College in 1957.  He served in the US Army 1958 - 1960.

Jerry and his cousin, Harold Kruger [SPSMHS '39], founded Kruger and Eckels, Inc. in South Pasadena in 1971 and later moved to Santa Ana where he continued to enjoy working through July 2009.

Jerry is survived by his sister, Alice Eckels Platon (SPHS '49) of Culver City, and nieces and nephews, Elizabeth and Michael Hollingsworth (San Marino), Steven C. Platon (Wauconda, Illinois), Charles N. Platon (El Segundo), and Helen and Michael Goodman (Barringrton, Illinois). Jerry is also survived by great nieces and nephews Gabrielle Platon, Keaton, Jack, James, and Cooper Goodman.
