Jim Cloer
February 20, 1936 - December 2, 2024
Jim, of Saddlebrook, Arizona, died at age 88 due to Mesothelioma. He is survived by his wife Jeanne Ragan-Cloer; children, Tim (Margaret) Ragan, James Cloer, Corey Ragan, and Keith (Audrey) Cloer, and three grandchildren.
Jim grew up in Southern California, graduated from USC with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and from Michigan State University with a Master's degree in Biology-Chelonology. He spent 35 years teaching science and math in middle school in Capitola, California. When he retired, he and his wife moved to Tucson, Arizona to play golf and 'live the good life'. He became the Naturalist at Catalina State Park and started a very popular wildlife education program there, which is still in existence after 25 years. He loved golf, tennis, skiing, hiking, traveling, and teaching children about the wonders of nature and how to treasure and protect our earth.
A great guy! Loved and embraced by all who knew him. He lived a good life and will be missed.
