On February 17, 2013, Mary Christine Lonergan died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Soquel, Washington.  She was 74 years old.

Born July 27, 1938 in Los Angeles, where she was raised, she studied art as an undergraduate at UCLA.  She spent many years living in Arcadia, working for over two decades in the administrative offices of San Gabriel Unified School District.  During this time she took classes at night and earned a Master's Degree in psychology from Cal State LA.  In 2000 she moved to Soquel and for several years pursued a part-time career in art.

She is survived by her sons, William Dickinson of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Gene Dickinson of Soquel.
