James 'Jim' Gerhart, born September 6, 1935, passed away at age 80 on October 15, 2015, while living in Silver Springs, Maryland. Cause of death was cancer.

Jim served in the Army as a Lt Colonel and Analyst in Military Intelligence, initially on active duty and then as a civilian employee.  He had been stationed in Panama, Germany, and Washington, DC. Ashes interred with high military honors at Arlington National Cemetery April 6, 2016.

Jim is survived by his wife Dorothy; children, Kenneth, Brian, and Suzanne; grandchildren SaraKate and Evan; and brother John Gerhart '51.
