Ron Friendt

November 26, 1945 - August 21, 2023

Ron was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and raised in South Pasadena. After graduating from SPHS in 1963, he was drafted and served in the US Army in Korea. Following his military service, he attended California State University, where he received his undergraduate (1973) and MBA (1976), while working at California Institute of Technology. He graduated from Glendale University Law School in 1980, and passed the California Bar on his first attempt in 1980. He continued to practice Civil Litigation for 40+ years in the Southern California area.

After dating Laura Berru for several years, they were married in October 1987. They lived in La Puente.

In addition to his interest in Law and numerous other subjects (he was curious about everything), he loved spending time with his mom (Marjorie), his siblings - Karen '59, Rudy '61, and Diane '66; his numerous nephews and nieces, and Laura's family.

He was also active in the church Laura and he attended, (St John Vianney), as well as volunteering with several charities associated with their church. He and Laura also enjoyed frequent trips up the California and Oregon coast, often visiting with his best friend, Dan Calabrese '65, in Monterey, California.

Ron lived an extremely full life, caring for numerous family and friends, as well as enjoying everything the world offered. He was much loved and is greatly missed.

A beautiful life that came to an end.
He died as he lived, everyone's friend.
