Margaret (February 23, 1945 - October 15, 2017) was a very dear friend with a wonderfully positive outlook on life. We met in 1952 when her family moved in across the street (Fairview Avenue). Due to contracting rheumatic fever in her early teens, she missed so much school that she ended up in the class year behind me, and therefore graduated in 1963. She became an ESL teacher, sang cantor at her church in a beautiful soprano voice, enjoyed her family to the fullest and was always warm and welcoming to all she met. After her retirement, she and her husband John were able to enjoy several cruises and travel. She was an achiever and will be sorely missed.

Margaret is survived by her husband John Cervantes, daughter Katherine, son Greg, and grandchildren.
