**************************************************************

Kim was a good friend of mine in high school. He had a 1954 two-toned blue Oldsmobile. He lived just west of Orange Grove playground/pool with his single mom and sister. His mother had a very stressful job as a hospice nurse. He was an active teenager trying his and his mother's limits. After some 'last straw' event, his family decided he should leave high school before graduation and join the Navy. He was stationed aboard a ship as a Fireman Apprentice and received on the job shipboard training to be an electrician. He was honorably discharged after four years of service and was pursuing a job as an electrical engineer at the PG&E power plant just over the Pasadena line on Fair Oaks Avenue when I last saw him.
