Dennis Dalton (1968)

Some of you may know Jerry lived in Atlanta for a period of time.  Frankly, I don't remember if it was in the 80s or the 90s, but he picked up a nickname from those days in Georgia -- we called him "Jer-Dawg", sometimes spelled with two "rrs".  To our four kids, he was  always "Uncle Jerr-Dawg".

During the early 1990s our youngest son Rick's favorite baseball team was the Montreal Expos.  His favorite player was Moises Alou.  Jerry, my brother Rick, our son and I attended an Expos game at Dodger Stadium.  We sat on the first base side.  As luck would have it,  Alou hit a foul ball and Uncle Jerr-Dawg caught the ball.  He immediately handed it to young Rick Dalton.  The ball is still a tresaured gift and memory of Rick's.

Jerry was one of the favorite Boys at Ma Dalton's.  It is with profound sadness that he has left.  Our family will continue to have countless fond memories of Jerry and his parents and brothers.
