Russell W Butterworth, 84, passed away July 9, 2012.  Russell was a long time resident of Orange County.  An avid explorer, Russell spent most of his adult life traveling the world.  A self proclaimed "Collector of Stuff", Russell has requested that all of his worldly possessions be given to charity.  

Russell is survived by one daughter, Linda Kay Butterworth.

Russell lived down the street from me in San Marino and we were good buddies at South Pasadena-San Marino High School, graduating together.  Russell 'googled' me a few years ago and we sent photos of high school graduation, cars, and lenticular clouds, his boat, and so on, back and forth.  It has taken me months to say--"see you later, Russell".
