Michael Todd Colliau

Surrounded by family, Michael T Colliau, 62, passed away on March 31, 2018 in Rancho Mirage, California. He was born on December 8, 1955 to Ted (SPHS '49) and Ellie Colliau of South Pasadena. Michael graduated from South Pasadena High School, Oregon State University, and the University of Utah Law School, where he was a Leary Scholar and the Administrative Editor of the Journal of Contemporary Law and Journal of Energy Law and Policy.

Michael married Jeanne Scott in 1989. They returned to South Pasadena in 2001 where they raised their children. Michael was known as a person who could tell a good story, liked to laugh and found fulfilment in helping others. He was an intelligent, genuine, and caring person with a big heart and personality. Michael and Jeanne recently purchased a home in La Quinta, California where he relaxed and renewed his interest in golf. Michael was a managing trial and contract attorney for 34 years. Most recently he served as vice president for the firm of Colliau, Carluccio, Keener, Morrow, Peterson & Parsons in Los Angeles from 1999 - 2016.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne Scott Colliau; children Steven Scott Colliau (SPHS '09) and Taylor Michele Colliau (SPHS '12); mother Ellie Arturo Colliau; brother, Douglas Colliau (SPHS '76); sister Anne (Christopher) Smith (SPHS '79); and nieces and nephews who adored their uncle Mike.
