Janice Cull
March 3, 1945 - August 18, 2022
Janice was born in Pasadena to Martha and James Cull and was the first in her family to graduate from college. She earned a master's degree in Public Policy and had a long and successful career with Los Angeles County as the assistant and interim registrar-recorder.
Janice loved to study languages including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian. She enjoyed communicating in these languages when she could - traveling with her partner to France and the Mediterranean - or with the whole family in Mexico. She also had a love for Latin music.
Janice was known for her wonderful and dry sense of humor, her keen political acumen, and her deeply caring nature - especially when it came to stray cats and dogs. She handled life's challenges with her characteristic strength, stoicism, and grace.
She was a doting grandmother, extraordinary mother, devoted partner, and beloved friend. She is survived by her partner of 24 years, Lori Brown, her daughter Jennifer Kagawa, her son Brad Kagawa, and her granddaughter Liliana.
