Charles Timothy 'Tim' James (1977)

Ron was someone I got to know in 7th grade. He was in the 7th period shop classes with me. I remember one day in metal shop, when Mr. Shunn was consuming a candy bar while lecturing the class. Ron piped up and said, "let me have some!" Without a word, Mr. Shunn immediately broke off a piece and handed it to him. The rest of us stood in stunned silence. I don't recall Mr. Shunn ever eating a candy bar in class again. Also, in the music class with Mrs. Payne, Ron got creative with the lyrics of "Yellow Bird," the Harry Belafonte song. Let's just say he substituted a word for "bird" that rhymes with "bird." You can on your own plug in words until you find a rhyme that would have broken up a class of 7th graders. Sad to read of his passing.

Ron was my brother and I miss him.  He sure turned out to be a great singer.  He was our singer in The 100 Proof Band with Dave Demarre, Benny Pieters, Scott Sanders and Chris Fisher. He was probably crazier than me. He was sure funnier, that's for sure.
