Robert Powell Gambill, 84, born May 6, 1927, died on February 16, 2012.  He was born in Oak Park, Illinois, graduated from Northwestern University, attended Stanford Law School, and served in the Merchant Marine during World War II.

He had a distinguished career in business, banking, and commercial development.  He was a long-time member of Al-Anon.  He is preceded in death by wife Karen, and twin brother Del (SPHS '45).  He is survived by his wife Joy, daughter Dana, brother Denny, many step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and treasured friends.
