Family history living in South Pasadena

Grew up, worked, married and lived in SP. Parents also lived and owned properties in SP. My mother was a real estate investor and managed her own rental properties.

Here is where you can see a class photo of when I attended Marengo Elementary School in 1941. I was 9 years old and in the 4th grade. I'm in the 4th row down, 3rd from the right. CLICK HERE to see photo

My children, Bruce and Linda also went to Marengo Elementary School. We lived 6 houses up from the school at 1307 Stratford Ave.

Pastimes & Hobbies

Gardening, reading magazines, newspapers, collecting things

I was in the Class of 1949. Back then it was called the South Pasadena-San Marino High School. This photo layout was done by my daughter-in-law (Stefanie Clark Eskander -Class of '69) as a tribute to commemorate my life. I passed away in 2008. The photo on the left is how I looked in high school.

I gave my daughter-in-law my treasured Shirley Temple doll which I won in a Shirley Temple Look-Alike Contest. Since my daughter-in-law, Stefanie, is a doll & toy designer you can bet it will stay in our family for generations.

I worked as a teller at the South Pasadena Bank of America. That is where I met my husband, Henry Aaron Eskander, who was also a teller there. The rest is history! We were married at the Oneonta Congregational Church in South Pasadena.

This layout shows me as a little child, with my father Lawrence E. Gore and my older brother Zane Edward Gore. Finally on the left, is a shot of me as a young mother looking through time and into eternity.
