Peter M. Lindquest, Carlsbad, 78, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2009, at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas of heart failure.

Peter was born in Los Angeles, California on December 5, 1931, the eldest of two children.  Peter had a great life.  He was a successful real estate broker, was a pilot in the Navy, and a member of the Optimist club of San Diego.  He had a passion for golf, loved the Chargers, and enjoyed traveling.

Peter had a gift for close friendships and unfounded generosity.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Ann Lindquest Ward (SPHS '52).  Peter will be sorely missed by his soul mate Karla Tarlton; his son, Tim Dawson; nieces, Julia Mitas and Lisa Schoeffler, his nephew, Eric Ward; and grandnephews Rex, Spencer, and Parker.

In memory of Peter, do a good deed for someone else as he did during his life.
