Doug Martin retired in 1997 from Lewis Homes, Upland, California, as Corporate Vice President Construction, after a long career in the home building business.  After retirement, he and his wife traveled in a motor home for three years seeing the country.  They then settled in Reno, Nevada, where they loved the people, the four seasons and the beautiful skies.

Doug died of congestive heart failure on April 7, 2011 in Reno.  He was 83.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Gerry Martin; sons Kirk Martin, Craig Martin, Mark Caviness; and five grandchildren.
