Manvil 'Manny' Mgrublian Jr

Manvil Mgrublian, was born May 24, 1930 to Helen and Manvil Mgrublian in Evanston, Illinois. He lived in Euclid, Ohio until his senior year when the family moved to South Pasadena.  He attended South Pasadena-San Marino High School where he participated in track and field, as well as football.

After high school, Manny went to Pasadena City College for two years where he participated in track as well. He was the sports editor for the South Pasadena Review, drafted into the army during the Korean conflict and achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class. While in the army he fell in love with his former classmate Marjorie Sharpe (SPHS '49) and married in 1952.

After his military service he went to work for Zellerbach Paper Company and rose to Western Regional Manager.  In 1976 he founded Paper Sales West, which later became WWF Paper-West.  He was honored by City of Hope as Graphic Arts Industry Man of the Year in 1977.

Manny died September 27, 2011.  He was father to Gary and Ronald, father-in-law to Tracy; and grandfather to five grandchildren.  He is survived by his brother Harold and sister-in-law Alice; sister Irene and brother-in-law Albert.  We will all miss you greatly.
