January 16, 1953 - October 5, 2019
Susan passed away at age 66 in Santa Rosa, California, due to cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Josie Statzer, son Tyler Statzer; sister Fran Ruffner Ferguson '66 and brother Duane Ruffner '67.
Susan was a family practice doctor with Kaiser-Permanente in Santa Rosa for her whole career. She was a master quilt maker. Since retirement several years ago, she has done extensive world travel.

What I remember most about Sue was her joy of life. She was so much fun to be around. I don't remember ever seeing her without her friends around her. What a GIFT she was to others.
