From Rob Feder:I have a lot of fond memories with Chuck, both growing up a couple of blocks apart, in high school and at Long Beach State . . . but the funniest situations I can remember are all playing golf with Chuck, Rich Lincoln and Mike Paris, mostly at Brookside Golf Course.
Chuck did not have clubs, so he would use my dad's. Chuck would always expect to have that perfect round, which none of us ever had. But occasionally, Chuck would be off in the rough or on a different fairway, and hit a second terrible shot.
Out of frustration, Chuck would toss the club high into the air, like a baton twirler leading a big parade. I can hear Rich laughing now, at the idea that my dad's precious clubs were being hurled into the stratosphere.
I have talked to Chuck a few times in past few years, but we were never able to get together.
I have great memories of Chuck.
