A longtime resident of South Pasadena for 81 years, William George Kloezeman passed away in Pasadena. The firstborn child of Gerrit and Anita Kloezeman, he spent all but two years of his life in South Pasadena. He graduated from South Pasadena High School in the Class of 1961, earned an Associate of Science from Pasadena City College, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from University of Utah and a Master's in Engineering from University of Southern California.

He worked for 37 years at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where he earned the distinction of MTS (Member of the Technical Staff). His work included contributions to numerous significant JPL Projects from the Moon Mission, Voyager, Nimbus, Tiros, to the Mars Rover Mission. He was particularly proud of his involvement in the Hubble Space Telescope repair mission also known as the Hubble FIX. Throughout his career, he traveled the world while working on various projects, earning a reputation for his exceptional organizational skills and dedication.

Bill was an Eagle Scout, having earned many Palms and being named South Pasadena's Scout of the Year. He also served as a Scout Leader for many years (Troop 516) helping numerous young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bill served in many capacities, including as Sunday School President, Ward Clerk, Executive Secretary and Counselor to the Bishops in the South Pasadena Ward. He co-founded the South Pasadena Middle School Booster Club with Don Eagleston and Mike O'Neil. Bill also served as the President of the South Pasadena High School Alumni Association and remained actively involved until his passing. In his honor, a scholarship will be established by the South Pasadena High School Alumni Association.

Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christine; daughters Kimberly '09, Kristen '04, and Karen '94; son William '97; one grandson; sister, Virginia Kloezeman Lakey '66; and numerous nieces and nephews.
