 Jolene Chavez
July 7, 1977 - February 18, 2024
Jolene was born prematurely at just 7 months on July 7, 1977. It was said that a baby born on this day would be a very 'smart cookie' but to her mother and family she was a true blessing, a three-pound miracle. From her first breath, it was clear Jolene would be extraordinary. She was far ahead of her time and wise beyond her years. Brilliant and confident with a nurturing spirit, she was brave and free thinking, affable and easy-going. Her stunning signature smile could light up the darkest of nights.
Jolene was treasured by all who knew her. When asked to describe her, 'beautiful' is a word that is frequently used - from her physical beauty to the beauty of her soul and the love she offered. She was a gift to this world and graced us with her kindness and great sense of humor. Her love of music and deep knowledge of the industry was a galvanizing force that inspired and delighted those that knew and met her. She loved all genres, from punk rock to R&B - you name it, she knew it. She possessed a unique understanding of people and was gifted with the ability to connect with anybody and everybody. She was a mentor, a guide, and a source of inspiration for many. Jolene braved a hard-fought battle with her illness until she passed away peacefully at the age of 46.
She is survived by her parents, David and Teresa Chavez and her precious fur babies, Shockee and Chiquita. She is reunited in the arms of her beloved sister Daviana in heaven. May her spirit continue to inspire and bring a smile at every thought of her. Jolene will always be remembered, always missed, and forever loved.
