Katheryn Louise Hoddinott Baer died January 29, 2013 in Santa Cruz, California. She was born September 6, 1925 in Fresno, California. She attended University of the Pacific and left after her junior year. 

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and her bridge group. She worked for the San Joaquin County Welfare Department for 24 years. Louise was married to Robert Baer for 49 years.

Surviving are her son, Kirk (Debbie) Baer of Portola, daughter, Kendra (Kelley) Lueke of San Jose, and daughter, Kim (Fritz) Watson of Soquel; sisters Merilyn Cooper of Castro Valley and Barbara DeVecchio of Santa Maria; and five grandchildren.
