Marian Ethel Shaw

Marian Ethel Shaw, 87, died June 16, 2011 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Marian was born in Pasadena, California on March 9, 1924, the daughter of Alfred and Lovella Slater Shaw. She graduated from South Pasadena-San Marino High School in South Pasadena, California.  She graduated from Pasadena Junior College with an Associate's Degree.  She moved to Chanute, Kansas in 1980, returned to Long Beach, CA., and came back to Chanute in 1999.  She worked in California for several agencies transcribing notes for the military and medical profession and also worked for an electronics company.

Marian is survived by her children, Tonia Stubblefield of Savonburg, Thomas Stubblefield of Chanute, Theresa Osborne and her husband Ronald, of Brook, Kentucky, and Cris Stubblefield and his wife Sharon, of Chanute; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; her close friend and long-time caregiver, Diana Owen; and a sister, Louise Towenson (SPHS '44) of Las Vegas, Nevada.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Lorraine (SPHS '44).
