Joanne Tula Schweitz Peron of South Pasadena passed away peacefully on February 4, 2017. 'Joey' was born on September 27, 1929 in Los Angeles to John and Violet Schweitz. She was baptized at Holy Family Church where she attended grammar school. She later graduated from South Pasadena High School.

Joanne met her best friend and soul mate, Eugene Peron, while attending John Muir College in 1948. They married in 1951 and soon moved to their new home in South Pasadena. Joanne lived a full, beautiful, and rewarding life with her loving husband, Gene.

Although the demands of nurturing her family was time consuming, she remained extremely active at Holy Family Church as a Eucharistic Minister, a Marriage Encounter leader and an enthusiastic participant in many church events. Joanne regularly travelled to the mountains with Gene where she taught the joys of camping, fishing, and boating to her children and grandchildren. Her love, character, devotion, and generosity are already missed.

Joanne is survived by her four children, Mike (Liz) Peron, Tim (Cathy) Peron, Kathy Peron Rinden and Kevin (Sandie) Peron, who jointly blessed her with eight grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
