Retired as President of M. H. Whittier Energy LLC in 1998. Whittier was an independent oil producer located in Taft, California with oil properties located in Taft, Lost Hills, and Coalinga California. Now taking care of my wife, Cynthia, who has ALS (Lou Ghrig's Disease).

Oregon for the last five years, and Bakersfield, California for over 20 years.

Inflating a war surplus weather balloon in Miss Steele's math class during a Friday assembly. Bill Brown (1961) was an accomplice and mastermind of the prank. Will never forget that Miss Steele said she could see Bill Brown pulling such a stunt, but not me. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Stage Crew for all three years in high school. Also a cast member in several of the annual student plays.

My wife uses a powered wheelchair to get around, and a special computer to speak, read and send emails, and control my life and the TV. Her blog is: Reachingdeep.blogspot.com. In it she relates our adventures sailing in Mexico, as well as her journey with ALS.
