October 15, 1938 - July 29, 2021

Charlie was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and the family moved to California in 1946, eventually settling in South Pasadena. He married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Smith '60 in 1962. He served in the US Army.

Charlie worked for most of his career as a salesman for Cecil Saydah Towel Company. After retiring he moved his family to Santa Rosa, California where he continued to work for several years as a driver for two assisted living homes. Charlie never stopped working, he so enjoyed people!

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Eva Costes; brother Emile Costes '49 and the love of his life, wife of 62 years, Geraldine Smith Costes who passed away in May 2021.

He is survived by sisters, Dolores Costes Latteier '51 and Simone Costes '55; his three chldren, Steven, Cindy, and Eric; and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His humor and witty personality will be greatly missed by all. He never met a person who he did not enjoy or that enjoyed him.
