Robert Edward Grossi - Class Of 1959

Robert Edward Grossi

My big brother Bob was born February 9, 1942 and the morning of August 14, 2012, Bob's life ceased on earth for a higher calling.  He battled amyotrophic lateral sclerosis disease (more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease) for over five years.

Bob was the "Tiger" class of 1959.  He went on to Pasadena City College, and California State University, Los Angeles, earning a masters degree in education.  He was a teacher, administrator, drama director, and piano tutor for nearly 35 years.  After he developed ALS and could still use his hands, he wrote, See! Believe! Achieve! a book for discovering the heart and soul of teaching (Tate Publishing).

Bob was married to his loving wife, Marilyn, for 23 years.  He is survived by Marilyn; sister Denise (SPHS '65), brother-in-law Jesse, two nephews; and brother Joe (SPHS '69).
