Ann Mowrer Appleton

January 30, 1942 - December 22, 2024

After a long illness at age 82. We were happily married for 61 years.

I met Ann when I was eight years old. We lived on the same street, Glendon Way, for many years. We became fast friends, spending a lot of time together. We walked to school together, attended the same church, were in Girl Scouts together, and shared a lifetime love of reading. We were in each other's weddings and stayed in touch as our lives took us different directions. Ann and Rick were both educators. I became an elementary teacher later in life. Ann and Richard had two daughters and five grandchildren. Jim and I have a daughter and a son, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. We loved to connect with each other so we could keep each other updated on our families. Ann, Rick, Jim and I were able to get together for lunch and a treasured visit in July 2024. I miss you Ann, my beloved friend of 75 years!

A beautiful life that came to an end
She died as she lived, everyone's friend.
In our hearts a memory will always be kept,
Of one we loved, and will never forget.
