In Memory

Susan Hartsough (Fleming) - Class Of 1979

Susan Hartsough Fleming

March 7, 1961 - November 17, 2025

Sue passed away in Yreka, California after relocating to Mt Shasta earlier this year. She was born and raised in South Pasadena, attending school in South Pasadena but graduating from Temple City High School. Sue had a love of nature, some of her favorite places being the beaches of Laguna, Ventura and Mendocino, as well as Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino mountains. She appreciated flowers and beautiful gardens. She loved all things with fur and is survived by her cat, Shady. Sue's other great love was music. She was a rocker at heart, a self-described hippie and attended many great concerts over the years.

Sue was very intelligent, thoughtful and a deep thinker with a mellow, helpful nature. She also had a silly side and a sarcastic sense of humor. She loved people and loved to laugh. Sue was fun-loving and rebellious, with teenage and young adult years full of shenanigans with her friends. She had a big heart and spent some of her adult life as a caregiver and counselor.

She now rests in God's arms, along with those who have gone before her, including her parents, Harold and Clara Hartsough '48, her best friends Steven and Mary Ann. Sue is survived by her brother Daniel '77, his wife Karen, and a niece and nephew.
