Leeban Hassan Adan was found dead of a gunshot wound on May 25, 2010 in the Hermon Park area of Highland Park.
Leeban attended school in South Pasadena but left South Pasadena High School to finish his education at a boarding school in Jamaica. He had family all over the globe and constantly traveled to visit relatives in Denmark, England, and the United Arab Emirates. His thirst for travel continued when he joined the US Navy in 2008. He was stationed in Bahrain where he was able to put the Arabic he learned from his father and at New Horizon School, an Islamic school in Pasadena, to use.
Honorably discharged from the Navy last year, Leeban returned to South Pasadena and worked for a Los Angeles construction company with plans to attend college later this year in Arizona. Leeban is survived by his father, Hassan Adan and a multitude of family.
