Member of the class of 1919, left SPHS to serve his country in the US Naval Reserve Force, seaman, second class. He died in the Naval Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia, of pneumonia, October 2, 1918. Survived by his parents, Milton and Frances Vance, 601 El Centro Street, South Pasadena.
