Herbert Schober

Herbert C Schober of Plymouth, Massachusetts died peacefully at Bay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Lyons Schober.

Born in Pasadena, California, he was the son of the late Karl and Anna Maria Schober. He entered the US Navy at a young age and continued to serve his country for over 20 years serving in both World War II and Korea, retiring as a Storekeeper 1st Class. He continued on with the US Naval Reserves. Over his life time he lived in New Jersey, California, and Massachusetts. He went to work after he got out of the service for General Dynamics in Quincy for 20 years. He was a collector of stamps and enjoyed music from country/western to classical.

He is survived by his sons Robert and wife Gail of Plymouth and Richard and wife Phyllis of New Hampshire; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his children John Schober and Ann Marie Gately.
