In Memory

Martin Swain - Class Of 1975

Martin Swain

Martin Swain

April 23, 1957 - July 15, 2025

I cannot express the pain and sadness that I am having over the loss of my brother Martin Swain. He passed away yesterday unexpectedly. This, just after my brother Wes passed just 17 days ago. The night before Marty passed, we were talking out on the back patio. Both of us were trying to work through the loss of Wes. We were looking forward to connecting more often and giving each other support and love. There was laughter and tears knowing we were the last of our family of six. The next day he was discovered in his truck simply slumped over. He was gone. Marty, I love you and will forever be grateful you were my brother. Please hug Mom '55, Dad, Dan '76, and Wes '77. I look forward to the day we are all reunited, missing you all so much. Love Rusty.

Russell Swain '82

So sorry to hear about Marty, and your brother. I remember Marty well - kind and kinda goofy - and born just one day after me. My heart goes out to you,

Charles Timothy 'Tim' James (1977)

I am so sorry to hear of the losses of both your brothers in so short a time. I was in class with Wes from Marengo through 8th grade. And I was briefly a teammate of Dan's on the Fairmont team in 1970. You have my prayers.

Candace Marie Charno (Frandsen) (1969)

The Charno family and the Swains spent a lot of time together. Rod and Sandy were amazing people and friends. The boys were all so fun. Teri Charno and I ( Candy )are the last of the CHARNO's. Our Prayers go out to Rusty. Mark and I will keep you in Prayer and our deepest sympathies for the loss of Wes and Marty.
