David Eric Johnson

I supervise Honda's National Communication Center where we monitor the security and fire systems of 55 Honda facilities nationwide, including training centers, warehouses, finance offices, and their manufacturing facilities for the Odyssey, Accord and Civic, as well as the new HondaJet.

Before attending junior high and high school in South Pasadena, I lived in Denver, CO, Mildenhall (in England), Ft. Bragg, NC and Phoenix, AZ. After high school I lived in Turlock, CA while I attended Cal State Stanislaus (didn't graduate), then I returned to SoCal to live in Pasadena, CA, then South Pasadena again until I moved to The Woodlands, TX to attend the University of Houston, where I graduated in 1991 with a bachelor of science degree in Political Science. After college, I went to flight school in Houston. I'm still a part-time flight instructor (CFI, CFII, ATP) instructing students in their own single- and multi-engine airplanes. In 1995, I returned to SoCal and lived in Irvine until I married my wife in 2000, when we moved to Torrance, where we've been living ever since.

My brother, Kenneth Johnson attended South Pasadena Junior High and South Pasadena High School.

Nobody, unfortunately. Growing up in an air force family where we moved quite often, I never really knew how to make and keep friends.

Being in the Ski Club and missing the bus somewhere in Nevada while Joe Racklin and I played video games inside some place along the way; being on the varsity football team and being yelled at (and humiliated) by Coach Yang for not knowing how to run a post (not a good memory, but a memory nonetheless); waking up one day during football season to see a large paper banner was hung on the garage door by those beautiful cheerleaders; listening to a really good Led Zeppelin tribute band that played songs during lunch. Lots of great memories, but I should have been more involved than I was!
