Children, Grandchildren We have 13 grown foster children and we are in contact with 10. These wonderful kids came to live with More…us as 4 families. One family of 3 were only with us for 3 weeks. The Beltran family of two brothers 1 and 5 yrs old and two sisters 3 and 7 were our first family and they lived with us for 2 years. The Gibson family of two little sisters 1 and 1/2 and 3 and 1/2 lived with us for one year. The last family were the Nugents with four sisters; one toddler, a set of identical 3yr old twins and a 9 yr old lived with us for 2 years. Altogether our kids have given us 13 foster grandchildren with two on the way, soon to be 15, ages 10 to 4 months. The older sister of the identical twins also had identical twin girls. When we started foster care I asked The Lord to bring us identical twin girls. Not only did He give us the twin daughters and the twin granddaughters our birthdays are June 9th, mine is June 10th and the granddaughters are June 11th. So I am blessed to be surrounded by identical twin girls. Thank You Jesus! My husband and I are so blessed to have reconnected with our kids and they bring us great joy.

Different places I have lived

Born and raised in So. Calif and moved within LA County. Born in Glendale but lived in Altadena until 10. Then moved to So. Pasadena and attended 5th grade at Marengo Elem. Moved back to Altadena when I was 26 to a duplex next to my brother Gary. Then I moved to the following cities L.A., Monrovia, Glendora and settled in Duarte in 1992. I am temporarily staying with my mom in Arcadia helping her and her caregivers as she just entered her 90's. Hubby Michael visits regularly and also helps with mom's care. I do not know what I would do without him.

UPDATE
My mom passed away on April 13, 2018 falling asleep at her home in Arcadia only to begin here eternal life with Jesus. My mom suffered from Parkinson's disease from 2014 until her passing. She was 92 and had a good life until Parkinson's took its toll. She even survived breast cancer at age 85 and lung cancer at age 88. I moved back home to Duarte, Ca.. in Feb 2017 where I needed to be to recover from or ease my chronic pain. It is now May of 2020 and I still live with pain but I am grateful that Covid19 is not apart of my life. "I can do all things through Christ Who Strengthens me!

What I remember most about Sue was her joy of life. She was so much fun to be around. I don't remember ever seeing her without her friends around her. What a GIFT she was to others.

What I remember the most about Bill was his great sense of humor and friendliness towards me. He made me feel happy and he always put a smile on my face. Even though he passed so many years ago I still remember him with fondness. In His Love, Gloria

Hi Jon, I just read about the passing of Holly and I send my condolences and prayers to you and your family. What I remember most about her , way back in High School, is her laugh and smile. She was always full of joy around me. In His Love, Gloria

Dear Tina, I just looked on this site today, Easter 4/12/20, and saw that your sister went to be with the Lord. She was a very caring person and I know that she loved the Lord and lived to serve Him. I will rejoice that she is no longer in pain but of a sound mind living eternally with our Savior Jesus Christ. As for you and your family I pray that the Lord will continue to comfort you until He turns your mourning into dancing and all memories of Roberta fill you with joy. In His Love, Gloria (Miller Rommel)
