School Memories
Lots of wonderful memories...growing up in South Pasadena was the one the best parts of my life. Will have to think of some stories to share; so many of them.
Pastimes & Hobbies
Spend as much "free" time as possible with my photography hobby. Love the Oregon Coast; very photogenic. Take lots of pictures of the kids. Have extensive collection of Civil War History books and photographic artifacts of the period. Started and taught a Civil War History class through our church in Seattle.
Doing research of a family relative caught up in invasion of Manila in 1944. Later incarcerated at the infamous Santo Tomas Prison for 4 years until executed by the Japanese just prior to the liberation in February 1945. He was my mother's Uncle Ernest.
Last book read; My Antonia by Willa Cather. Wonderful story of an immigrant family scratching out a living on a farm in 19th Century Nebraska.
[Date] What's happening in my life now
My wife Barbara and I own a window covering franchise in Portland Oregon. We moved from Seattle to be near our grandkids and bought the business for something to do. Little did we know we'd be working 10 hours per day 6 days a week!
It has given us a good life and an opportunity to spend quality time with our 2 grandkids; Grace 8 and Christian 5.
