Different places I have lived

Anacortes, WA; Bellingham, WA; Sacramento, CA; Davis, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Ana, CA; Glendale, CA; South Pasadena, CA; Pasadena, CA; San Angelo, TX; Sabinal, TX; Brackettville, TX; San Antonio, TX.

Family history living in South Pasadena

I moved to South Pas when my mother married her 2nd husband who already lived there (Barkemeyer). I was 15 and entered my sophomore year in SPHS. My mother and stepfather divorced after a year and a quarter, but we stayed in So Pas and Pas so I could finish out my high school years in one school. When I graduated in '76, I went up to UCDavis. Otherwise, I have no family in South Pasadena.

Other SPHS graduates I keep in touch with are:

Rena Shah Carney, '75; Kathy Hintzen Harrison, '76; Robert Moulton, '76; Steven Brown, Laura Elwell DeWolfe, '76; Laurie Thomas, '76, Chrissy Gutt Ladovsky, '76

School Memories

Going on a ski trip to Brianhead Utah with the Ski Club. I learned how to jump small lumps in the snow and had a great time. Having Bronson Pinchot walk up to me and pinch my cheeks (several times, since he was my friend's friend)

Organizations, clubs, sports, other groups I've been in at school &/or since

High school clubs included the French Club, Ski Club, Sailing and Bowling Clubs, Cross Country & Track teams. Recently I was in the Toastmaster's club, although my chapter closed for lack of participation. I attend church on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evening small groups.

Pastimes & Hobbies

I've done a bit of Ancestry.com research on my family tree and have quite a few generations accounted for. I'd like to go visit some of the European countries of my ancestors, as well as several parts of the United States. We did travel to New York a few years ago and stopped in North Carolina where the battle of ... was played out due to one of my ancestors being involved with that. For pasttimes I play Sudoku in books and online, Spider Solitaire, Minesweep, etc.

Favorite Music, Songs, Bands

I still enjoy listening to Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, 70's rock and roll in general, classical music, pop songs, etc. My youngest son plays the piano and guitar, and listens to some horrible screaming music I love to hear his piano and guitar music, but anytime I can avoid the screaming music, I'm a happier person.

Favorite Books, Magazines, Movies, TV, Websites, YouTubes, etc,

I'm a sucker for the romantic comedy chick flick. I like pleasant entertainment. I don't really dwell on any favorite movie per se. I've enjoyed watching the Spiderman series in the theatres, some of the Star Trek movies, The Wizard of Oz is still good viewing, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and more. I don't read as much as I would like to.

[Date] What's happening in my life now

I'm happily married for 21 years now, our house is finally not too small now that my oldest son has left and there's just 4 of us left behind.
