Salesman in manufacturing sales for eight years.
Teacher in Covina Valley Unified for eighteen years.

Different places I have lived:

Pasadena CA
Walnut CA
West Covina CA
Needles CA
Scottsdale AZ

Family history living in South Pasadena:

Father and Mother and 9 yrs. younger brother moved to Gates Pl., off of Indiana AV., in 1952 from Morningside Pk., Inglewood CA, when I was half way through 7th. grade. My father was a sales manager for Latchford Glass Co. in Huntington Pk. and my mother was a housewife.

Other SPHS graduates I keep in touch with:

Jerry Huot
David Hall McCracken
Jim Schample a few times in Laughlin for beer and steak at the Boileroom at the Colorado Belle.
Jeanne Martin

School Memories:

The great school location, buildings and the atmosphere of the mid 50's; along with the football field tucked in below the hills.
When some of us in the Jr. class found a lot of ivy growing in the empty swimming pool in an abandoned mansion in the hills above the football field. It was to use for decorating the stage area for the class of 1956. There was some poison oak where we got the ivy and some of us got poisoned. It was memorable, but not very funny.

Milestones & Epiphanies:

Mainly that I have a retirement, good health and can get around and about in the outdoors.

What's happening in my life now:

I'm swimming a lot in the Colorado River which is good exercise and a great cool down from the summer heat. I take classes in a local community college and am involved in photography. I am not a boater but have done some Kayaking; got a boat? We have great launches here.
I probably qualify as a confirmed bachelor, but appreciate nice friends.

Organizations and groups I (did or do) participate in (in high school and/or now):

I'm a Ronald Reagan Republican. I attend the Catholic Church, but not too frequently.

Pastimes & Hobbies:

Reading, mostly American History and biographies. I read a lot of opinion columns; mostly conservative. I try to keep up the exercise struggle. I go to movies frequently, visit casinos, on occasion, and go to Las Vegas frequently to see two neat young grand kids. I also go to Newport Beach to see my other three neat young grand kids, but not as frequently as I would like.
A lot of my spare time is spent outdoors with digital camera and indoors editing photos on my computer and generally making use computer programs.

Favorite Music, Songs, Bands

I listen to country western, classical and classic rock.
I really miss the Cool Jazz station 94.7, "The Wave". I can't get it here.

Favorite Books, Magazines, Movies, TV etc:

My favorite history book is "A History of the American People" by Paul Johnson.
I've read all of the L'Amour westerns.

Additional Comments:

Like, hang in there man/woman, as in "On you Mighty Tigers!"
