I'm sure I will think of some other good ones that actually happened in school but this one sticks out in my mind most of all!

I remember when Gary LoCicero and I ditched school and rode bikes down to the Arroyo. We both decided to take a run down Pinky's Rear! I shot the tube first and quickly got out of the way since Gary was right behind me. I heard Gary yell as he shot out the tube with his pants down around his ankles. He landed running and tried to keep upright as he hobbled down the side of the wash. I could not stop laughing ..... I wish I had a photo of that but it is etched in to my mind forever!

A few of us were in a talent show in HS. We  did the can can. The stage was so slippery we fell all over the floor dancing and doing cartwheels. I froze and stood there looking on in horror. Of course the whole auditorium was cracking up. We ran up the aisles afterwards throwing our garters to people.

Pinky Rear. The perfect combination of algae and teenager's. 103 on Pasadena Ave. and 67 degrees in Pinky Rear at what, 30 miles an hour? No helmet's, no pants,  just Disneyland for free. Would that be an E Ticket?

Cross-country meet in Fall 1963.  I think the opposing team was San Marino - always the ones to beat.  I am only a sophomore and running way behind and ahead of me I see varsity runner Jim Kiefer, a big guy and an excellent athlete.  A dude from the other team is periodically coming up behind Jim and running on the backs of Jim's shoes.  Finally, Jim has had enough.  He stops, turns around, lifts the dumb annoying guy by the back of his shirt and shorts and throws him into a nearby bush.  Jim resumes the race.  I am still laughing when I finish a few minutes later.  Coach Marv Jacobson asks:  "What are you laughing about Kane?  You came in last!"  I am still laughing too hard to explain it to him.  A few minutes later the guy who flew into the bush (and who is actually last) appears.  He is much scratched up but says nothing about having "flown" part of the race.

Just another day in Tiger athletics.

When it was any other season but the summer, or the days you didnt have a quarter for the plunge, you could find a whole days fun at one of those early "water parks." Pinkies Rear, or The Overflow, or Four Falls was an affordable alternative. Free. All you needed was an old pair of cut-offs. Some of the optional equipment may have included a bottle of soap for addiional speed. The ultimate there was a "Rainy Day" when the flow was greater.
