Stephen Frank Juhl was born on September 15, 1953 in Los Angeles. His family moved to South Pasadena when he was two years old. He attended Lincoln Elementary School.
He was involved in various activities in high school and graduated in 1971. He went on to get a B.A. in economics at Reed University in Portland, Oregon. After college he lived for awhile in San Francisco and later moved back to Southern California, where he worked at a bank while he was studying to get his CPA certificate.
He died of AIDs on May 18, 1989 at the age of 35 in Los Angeles. He is now survived by his older sister, and two nieces.
Steve was a person who loved to talk to people about everything, especially politics, go on ski trips, visit museums and have fun. In 1980 he took a trip to Spain to see the birth of his first niece. He cared deeply about his family and friends and wanted the best for all of us. I deeply miss him.
