Elva 'Betty' Peterson Hine
September 25, 1905 - May 5, 1955
Elva Elizabeth Hine of 1928 Primrose Avenue, died May 5, 1955. A native of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, she had been a resident of this area 35 years. She is survived by her son, John Marshall Rentchler '60 of South Pasadena; her mother, Mrs Elva Peterson of San Gabriel; and two brothers, E.W. Peterson '23 of Pasadena, and G.E. Peterson '21 of San Gabriel.

My mother "Betty", Elva Elizabeth Peterson "Rentchler" Hine passed away in May of 1955 at the age of 50 years. I was her only child. Both of my mother's brothers graduated from SPHS. Her first marriage was to my father Daniel Marshall Rentchler Class of 1926. My father died at age 35 in February 1943.
She later married Robert Elliott Hine, SPHS Class of 1918, circa 1953.
