Allison Stanley - Class Of 1971

Allison Stanley

Allison Stanley

December 30, 1952 - July 21, 2023

This is from the Stanley family (Stephen, Gena, Jamie, and John)

With an emptiness and void in my heart, I have some sad news, Allison passed away last Friday after a long and courageous battle with MS.

You all held her up when she didn't have the strength to do it herself. She said on many occasions she could feel your love and relied on your emotional support during her many difficult struggles with the effects of MS.

Allison wishes you to remember her as she was on the day of the 2016 Reunion held at Garfield Park and at the Holly Smith block party.

We will all miss her and her inspirational posts. The keeper of the butterfly is now free to spread her wings and fly high.

We are planning a celebration of life sometime after labor day and will be posting the time and date.
Rather than communicate through Facebook, please contact me at sasteamer@aol.com
Love to all,
Class of 1967

...such sadness in our hearts at this news...I know Allison is now experienceing amazing joy, peace and whole health in the presence of her Lord and Maker, Jesus Christ! She was strong in her faith until the end, I am certain. She ran her race and fought the good fight!

Although I moved from SoPas to NoCal in 1969...before graduating class of 1971...Allison and I were classmates at El Centro from kindergarden on. I remember playing "101 Dalmations" running around the home and yard of Betsy Jones up on Oaklawn with Leslie Morgan...the four of us were such loveable "pups". Thanks to Facebook we were able to re-connect some years ago and we were able to pray for each other often.

Our hearts go out to Allison's family and many friends...blessings be upon you all at this difficult time.

Love from Thomas and Nancy McSwane, Riverhead, New York

Dear Steven, Gena, Jaime, and John. I know from the various conversations I’ve had in the past with Allison, she’s entered into in the presence of the LORD.  May you be blessed with comfort as you mourn the loss of your dear Sister, SIL, and Aunt.  She has the most beautiful smile and her pink hair I’ll always remember, and her beautiful spirit and kindness.  Today I saw a monarch butterfly in my front yard and was reminded now Allison has been freed of her earthly troubles and pain. Sending love ❤️ Tina Biesek DeBow.

Allison: Thanks for longtime memories and more recently sharing Monarch's, milkweed seeds and your framing of Steve Bohannon's artwork. I hope that your transition to a time of no pain also is heavenly. And say hi for all of us if you cross paths with Steve and Buddy. ❤️🙏
